i am running a brand new 3.4 ghz quad core i7 imac with 16 gigs of ram. latest lion os 10.7.2,no other app problems at all on imac only the river bible app. i tried to post the error log after the app crash but its too many characters to post in this discussion thread. i have also sent an email to the developer. thank you for looking into this problem. i so desperately want to use this app! thanks for all your hard work!
I get the same thing. It's a shame because I just started seminary with a Mac, both Tower and laptop. I was hoping to be able to use River Bible to help with the studies.
The issue is that your Mac is missing a font. River Bible requires Baskerville and Palatino. These should be part of a standard Mac OS X installation.
Unfortunately the font configuration is in a user interface file (a nib) so I don't have any control over how the error is handle. However a few people have had this issue so I will look into it to see if it can be handled better.
Jolon a font interpreter can be used. Try it in POSTSCRIPT or another type of plugin to the current software package being used to develop this wonderful and much appreciated tool.
I'm A New Mac User, with River-Bible version 1.5 installed and working well on my MacBook Pro {later 2011 model w/Lion} & would like to share this wonderful Bible with friends with older Macs & PCs...but haven't located a site providing downloads of earlier versions of the River Bible compatible with Snow Leopard and other earlier Apple operating systems & PC's...
So far, sites I've found mentioning downloads for River-Bible versions: 1.1, 1.3, 1.3.1 etc -- automatically re-direct such to the Apple App store and version 1.5, which needs OSX 10.7 or later.
WHERE...can folks owning these older MAC & PC's download the River-Bible?
